"I believe, however, that art should be based on real life interactions."
"The basis of art is geopolitical. Art takes root in our lives. It has its own life in each culture. Art trade spreads both globally and locally. It has been established historically through cultural exchanges.
Artists can resist the value system controlled by the media and economy. Today, art is changing and getting into cyberspace. I believe, however, that art should be based on real life interactions. In my art projects, I have visited various local communities with different geographic conditions. Encountering their story and finding a relation with other worlds are important. I would like to spread the network of local and face-to-face art to the global level."
